Stadium Operations & Facilities Jobs

Stadium operations and facilities: the year-round side of a venue

There are 423 open stadium operations and facilities roles across 118 organizations.

Stadium operations and facilities jobs keep the building itself working, and they run on a different calendar from the rest of sports. Grounds crews and turf managers maintain playing surfaces year-round. Building engineers, HVAC and electrical trades, housekeeping, and maintenance teams cover the venue whether or not there is a game. Conversion crews turn an arena from hockey to basketball to a concert overnight.

This is the category where trades credentials matter more than a sports resume. Turf and grounds roles often want turfgrass management coursework or equivalent field experience; building engineering wants licenses and hands-on systems experience; conversion and event-changeover work is physical and schedule-driven. Because the work is year-round rather than seasonal, a larger share of these openings are full-time with benefits than in game-day categories.

The hiring is steady rather than wave-driven, so checking regularly beats waiting for a preseason push. Venues also staff up for non-sport events, which means a stadium or arena operations job frequently involves concerts, conventions, and college events alongside the team's own schedule.
