Football Jobs

Working in football: inside the NFL's hiring engine

There are 298 open football roles across 31 organizations.

The NFL is the revenue giant of American sports, and its job market reflects that: the deepest hiring is in the functions that drive revenue and run buildings - ticket and premium sales, corporate partnerships, marketing, and stadium and event operations. With only around ten home dates a year, NFL clubs treat every game like a mega-event, which makes their event-operations teams some of the largest and most sophisticated in sports.

Football operations - scouting, player personnel, coaching support - is the smallest and most network-driven corner of the industry. Those roles exist, but they hire largely through relationships and rarely post entry points publicly. Treat a posted football ops role as the exception; the reliable way into a club is the business side, where our tracking shows the NFL posting at a steady clip every month of the year.

What separates the NFL from other leagues for job seekers is stability of demand: no other league's hiring is as consistent month to month in our data. The trade is competition - every posting draws a national applicant pool. Lean on concrete skills (sales numbers, event credentials, CRM or data tooling) over fandom, and apply directly through each team's careers page.
