Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Ticket Sales Representative role is a seasonal sales position with the Tampa Bay Rays that provides the opportunity to work in the sports industry while developing the skills necessary to become a successful sales and service leader. Ticket Sales Representatives will receive consistent training and coaching to learn best practices, sales techniques, and customer service skills. Representatives will have the opportunity to sell products including season memberships, suites, party areas, and group tickets. In addition to generating revenue, Ticket Sales Representatives are responsible for servicing clients while also representing the organization during gameday shifts and events, as necessary.

JOB FUNCTIONS
·       Selling a variety of ticket products including season memberships, suites, party areas, and group tickets over the phone and in person through appointments at Tropicana Field.
·       Prospect new business through outbound calls, emails, stadium appointments, and other lead generation activities. 
·       Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing customers throughout the sales process by identifying customer needs and assisting with any ticket-related questions. 
·       Responsible for managing and maintaining accurate ticket and customer information through the department ticketing system and database. 
·       Represent the Ticket Sales department at promotional events, in-game sales initiatives, and other networking opportunities. 
·       Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals, activity targets, and performance metrics. 
·       Contribute positively to a competitive sales team and participate in ongoing sales training, coaching, and professional development. 

QUALIFICATIONS
·       4-year degree required
·       Passion for building a career in the sales and sports industry. 
·       Previous sales, customer service, hospitality, or team-sports experience is a plus.
·       Ticketing system and CRM experience (ProVenue and Salesforce knowledge is a plus).
·       Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
·       Competitive, energetic, and driven to succeed in a team-oriented environment. 
·       Interests in developing skills in prospecting, lead generation, and relationship management. 
·       Highly motivated by sales goals, performance metrics, and achieving results. 
·       Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple prospects, follow-ups, and sales activities. 
·       Availability and willingness to work extended hours, including nights and weekends for games and events, as necessary.
