The Accounting Coordinator is a key member of the Tennessee Titans Finance team, responsible for the day-to-day payables operations that keep the business accurate, compliant and on schedule. Reporting to the Controller, this role administers the accounts payable function, manages vendor records and supports the monthly close through account reconciliations and journal entries, with room to grow in scope and responsibility over time.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Daily input and routing of incoming invoices in Mineral Tree. 
  • Administer and maintain the accounts payable module, including statement reconciliation and resolution of A/P discrepancies. 
  • Research and respond to inquiries from vendors and internal departments on account status. 
  • Ensure timely payment of approved expenses, including preparation of weekly outgoing payments for management review and approval. 
  • Set up all new vendors and maintain vendor records. 
  • Complete and submit credit applications as needed. 
  • Prepare and maintain vendor 1099s, file annual reports. 
  • Execute unclaimed property process and submit annual reports. 
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations as assigned. 
  • Assist in audit requests as needed. 
  • Other duties to support management and finance team as assigned. 

 

 

Qualifications

 

Required:

  • 2 - 4 years of progressive accounting experience, including accounts payable, general ledger and month-end close.
  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field. 
  • Strong communication skills, with proficiency in speaking and writing. 
  • The ability to act responsibly and ethically when working with sensitive financial information.

 

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in professional sports.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software tools, to include prior experience with sophisticated Excel-based analysis. 
  • Organized, proactive, and detail oriented 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interface at various levels of the organization. 
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and ambiguous environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Comfort adopting new technology, including AI tools used across the organization
