This role involves providing paralegal, compliance, and general corporate support to commercial lawyers and business teams for the NBA’s and its affiliate leagues’ business operations in Africa and the BAL’s business globally, including in connection with fan engagement, grassroots programs, basketball operations, services provider agreements, media deals, sponsorships, and merchandising. Work will include drafting, assisting in due diligence processes, research, and other projects, as needed and at the direction of commercial lawyers. The position will be based in Johannesburg, South Africa and will work together with NBA and BAL legal staff across various African offices.
