The Oklahoma City Thunder is seeking an organized individual for an entry-level opportunity in customer service and administrative support! As a Guest Experience Assistant, you will help create a welcoming first impression for Guests by managing incoming calls, greeting and directing visitors, supporting Thunder staff, and contributing to smooth daily office operations.
In this role you will:
Answer incoming phone calls, greet office Guests, respond to inquiries with accurate information, and direct callers and visitors to the appropriate individuals
Manage and respond to incoming messages through live chat and Fan Assist, our real-time digital assistant that helps fans with a variety of inquiries, during regular office hours and on Thunder game nights
Welcome approved vendors, manage deliveries, and direct vendors and deliveries to the appropriate office locations
Respond to fan pack requests and coordinate their distribution
Provide administrative and logistical support to the Guest Experience department
Support Thunder staff with general office needs and inquiries
Assist visitors with picking up tickets and other items left for them by Thunder employees
Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages
Work occasional Thunder game nights as scheduled
Maintain, organize, and restock lobby common areas
Update the Thunder voicemail as needed
Provide break coverage at the ground-floor lobby security desk
Perform other duties as assigned
What you’ll bring to the role:
Minimum one year of reception or administrative support, or a related area preferred
Strong guest service and professional phone communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Ability to take accurate notes and use a keyboard efficiently
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to complete work accurately and on time
Ability to address concerns and complaints efficiently, professionally, and respectfully
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build effective working relationships, listen actively, collaborate, and contribute to team discussions
Bi-lingual fluency in English and Spanish is a plus
Additional details:
This is a full-time entry level position reporting to the Director, Guest Experience. Schedule will include Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m.- 5:30 p.m. with some evening or weekend shifts during games. Primary work location is the Thunder corporate office located in downtown Oklahoma City.
