The Player Care Coordinator will provide a wide range of off-field support for the Sporting Kansas City First Team in Major League Soccer. The primary objective for this role is to enrich the off-field dynamics for players, team staff & families to maximize their on-field performance.
Essential Functions
- Coordinate and serve as the primary point of contact for all players & their families for any off-field support & guidance to enhance a high-performance environment.
- Provide resources for the onboarding and relocation of new first team players, staff & their families. Primary areas of focus include securing bank accounts, phone numbers, Social Security numbers, housing, transportation, schooling, etc.
- Provide resources for the adaptation of international players, staff & their families. Primary areas of focus include English lessons, general assimilation to local culture, creating trusted network connections, etc.
- Provide resources to the growth and transition of younger players. Primary areas of focus include school support, character development & maturation, financial education, etc.
- Attend all home matches and provide game-day support to player families & reserve players to enhance their stadium experience.
- Develop and maintain trusted, professional relationships with players, their families, club personnel and external partners.
- Stay current on all MLS & MLSPA policies and programs related to players and their families.
- Maintain & develop a competitive & successful team culture & environment.
- Represent Sporting Kansas City and its related affiliates in a professional manner at all times.
- Perform other related tasks or projects as assigned.

Skills and Experience
- One (1) year or more of related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Must be able to fluently speak, read, and write in English & Spanish.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Calendar preferred.
- Knowledge of MLS, CONCACAF, U.S. Soccer & FIFA regulations preferred.
- Capacity to adapt to the unique and vibrant Kansas City market.
