General Description:
The Marketing Operations Manager plays a central role in the planning, coordination and execution of marketing initiatives for the Houston Rockets and Houston Comets. This position encompasses marketing operations, promotional planning and integrated marketing, serving as a key connector across Marketing and Revenue functions to ensure campaigns and initiatives are strategically aligned, effectively executed and delivered on time.
The Marketing Operations Manager will lead the development and management of promotional calendars, integrated marketing campaigns, game themes, promotional initiatives and cross-functional marketing programs designed to drive ticket sales, fan engagement, brand awareness and overall business objectives. This role works closely with Ticketing, Corporate Partnerships, Brand Experience, Creative, Social, Digital, Game Presentation, Retail and other internal teams to bring marketing strategies and campaigns to life.
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
- Lead the creation and management of the promotional matrix calendar for all home and away games including uniform scripting, themes, giveaways, and title nights for partners.
- Lead the coordination, approval and communication of gameday marketing notes and activations to the organization and executive leadership team.
- Collaborate with Game Presentation and Social Media teams to identify and activate influencers and content creators around games and marketing initiatives to drive engagement, sales and energy.
- Work closely with the Corporate Partnerships and Brand Experience teams to amplify fan experiences at Toyota Center games with dynamic experiential activations that meet or exceed fan and partner expectations.
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns supporting theme nights, giveaways and promotional initiatives that drive attendance, engagement and buzz.
- Collaborate with in-house creative and production teams to develop advertising assets such as graphics, commercials, voiceovers etc. for television, radio, print, social and digital platforms that enable the franchise to hit or exceed initiative goals.
- Collaborate with Performance Marketing team to distribute promotional materials across all mediums including television, radio, print, social media, web and email marketing.
- Collaborate with Digital and Fan Experience teams to enhance gameday touchpoints and communications, ensuring thematic consistency with campaigns.
- Proofread various forms of marketing copy for TV and radio reads, creative assets and other digital marketing campaigns.
- Explore new platforms, vendors, and community organizations that enhance and expand the
- reach of marketing efforts.
- Create and maintain relationships with 3rd party promoters and media partners to maximize opportunities and sales.
- Collaborate with Marketing functions & Revenue departments (Corporate Partnerships, Ticketing, Suites, & Retail) on comprehensive marketing campaigns and tactical plans that achieve or exceed stated goals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4–5+ years of experience in marketing, marketing operations, project management or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- MUST be able to work several evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by NBA and WNBA schedule.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and under time constraints in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent people skills, with an ability to interact effectively and in a professional, diplomatic, and mature manner with internal and external clients at all levels within an organization.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to establish priorities, manage deadlines and coordinate multiple stakeholders across projects.
- Knowledge of Adobe products preferred.
- Knowledge of creative production, video production, digital, and print preferred.
