The Group Sales Manager will be an entrepreneur responsible for helping to develop the Los Angeles Chargers Group Experiences Sales line.
This role will lead the daily oversight and direction of the group sales team and strategy. They will help to create new group initiatives, themes, and experiences for fans. An accomplished seller, this individual has a firm understanding of the group sales process, has effective communication skills, and the ability to identify and develop long-term growth strategies for the Chargers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Day-to-day management of group sales team members.
· Monitor, manage and evaluate sales staff performance on an ongoing basis; set up and communicate clear sales revenue and training goals. Follow up with sales staff with feedback and direction for development.
· Recruiting, hiring, and training of group sales team.
· Mentor and develop members of your team both personally and professionally.
· Develop group sales renewal strategies to maintain and grow existing group business.
· Create and coordinate group leader events to strengthen relationships and drive new business.
· Collaborate with different departments to maximize awareness of group theme nights.
· Oversee the implementation of group sales strategy across the organization.
· Work directly with operations and game day team to ensure group experiences are executed effectively.
· Actively seek new clients through lead lists, cold calls, speaking engagements and networking events.
· Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability needed.
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an individual revenue producer in a high-paced sales environment.
· Proven leadership experience in a sales environment including coaching, mentoring, hiring, training, and performance management.
· Ability to develop and articulate sound recommendations to senior management.
· Resourceful, creative, and innovative, with an ambitious spirit and partnership-oriented mindset.
· Strong organization and planning skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
· Ability to work both traditional and non-traditional hours (nights, weekends, holidays).
· Experience working in Ticketmaster/Archtics and Salesforce a plus.
