Position Summary
The Montgomery Biscuits are seeking an Events Manager to lead the creation, sales support, planning, and execution of non-baseball events at DABOS Park. This role will help transform the ballpark into a year-round community venue, hosting everything from private catered events and facility rentals to large-scale public events such as concerts, festivals, corporate outings, and community celebrations.

The Events Manager will work closely with On Deck Partners leadership to identify, develop, and execute annual tentpole events that strengthen the Biscuits’ brand, deepen community engagement, and generate new revenue opportunities. This position will also partner daily with Montgomery Biscuits food and beverage, operations, ticketing, marketing, sponsorship, and guest experience staff to deliver events of all sizes with professionalism, creativity, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Event Strategy & Development
· Develop and manage a year-round calendar of non-baseball events at DABOS Park, including concerts, festivals, holiday experiences, community events, private events, and facility rentals.
· Partner with On Deck Partners leadership to identify and develop annual tentpole events that support revenue, community engagement, and venue utilization goals.
· Evaluate new event opportunities based on revenue potential, operational feasibility, community impact, and brand alignment.
· Develop event concepts, pricing strategies, rental packages, and repeatable event models that can grow in attendance, profitability, and community relevance year over year.
· Actively sell and maintain a pipeline of potential public events, private rentals, corporate functions, and community partnerships.

Event Planning & Operations
· Serve as the primary point person for the planning, sales and execution of non-baseball events at Dabos Park.
· Develop comprehensive event plans, including timelines, budgets, staffing, production requirements, vendor needs, facility layouts, and run-of-show documents.
· Coordinate across operations, grounds, food and beverage, security, cleaning, ticketing, marketing, sponsorship, and guest experience to ensure event readiness.
· Lead sales, pre-event planning, event-day execution, vendor and client coordination, and post-event recaps.
· Anticipate operational challenges, troubleshoot issues, and ensure events are delivered safely, efficiently, on budget, and with a high standard of guest experience.
· Develop and maintain event procedures, checklists, staffing templates, and execution playbooks.

Private Events, Partnerships & Client Management
· Manage private catered events, corporate gatherings, facility rentals, banquets, meetings, parties, and community functions from initial planning through execution.
· Conduct site visits and planning meetings with clients, vendors, promoters, partners, and community organizations.
· Partner with food and beverage leadership on menus, catering packages, staffing levels, service standards, and client expectations.
· Support event sales by providing venue recommendations, pricing input, event expertise, and operational feasibility guidance.
· Coordinate with artists, promoters, production partners, sponsors, municipal contacts, and other external stakeholders for large-scale events.
· Partner with marketing, sponsorship, and ticketing teams on event promotion, partner integration, ticketing strategy, and guest engagement.

Financial & Administrative Management
· Develop and manage event budgets, cost estimates, settlements, invoices, and post-event financial reporting.
· Track event performance, including revenue, profitability, attendance, client satisfaction, operational effectiveness, and repeat-booking opportunities.
· Maintain contracts, vendor agreements, event orders, insurance documentation, permits, and internal approvals.
· Contribute to annual planning for non-baseball event revenue, pricing, programming, and facility utilization.

Qualifications
· 2–5 years of experience in event planning, venue operations, hospitality, sports, entertainment, catering, or a related field.
· Experience managing live events, private events, facility rentals, concerts, festivals, or large public gatherings preferred.
· Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events, timelines, vendors, and internal stakeholders at once.
· Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
· Ability to lead event-day execution and make sound decisions under pressure.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering a high-quality guest and client experience.
· Basic understanding of event budgets, revenue goals, vendor costs, staffing needs, and operational planning.
· Proficiency with common workplace tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, event management platforms, CRM systems, or ticketing systems preferred.
· Passion for community events, hospitality, live entertainment, and creating memorable experiences.

The ideal candidate is a proactive event builder who enjoys turning ideas into well-run experiences. They are equally comfortable walking a client through a private rental, coordinating a catered event, working with operations staff on setup details, or helping leadership shape a new annual concert or community festival.

This person should be organized, energetic, calm under pressure, and highly collaborative. They should understand that DABOS Park can be more than a baseball facility — it can be a year-round gathering place for Montgomery.

Reporting & Collaboration

This position will work closely with Montgomery Biscuits leadership and On Deck Partners leadership. The Events Manager will collaborate regularly with:
· Food and beverage leadership
· Ballpark operations staff
· Ticketing and box office staff
· Marketing and promotions staff
· Corporate partnerships staff
· Finance and administration
· External vendors, clients, promoters, and community partners

Schedule

This is a full-time position. The schedule will vary based on the event calendar and will include nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during large events, baseball season, and peak planning periods.
