Job Title: Coordinator, Hockey Communications
Department: Brand & Communications
Reports To: Director, Communications
Location: This position is 100% in-person and is based at the United Center and the Blackhawks Ice Center in Chicago, IL.
Hours: Standard business hours are 9:00 am - 5:00 pm / Monday - Friday. This position requires non-traditional hours (nights, weekends, holidays) and will eventually require extensive travel based on the event schedule.

Compensation: The annual base salary for this position is $55,000. This role is eligible to participate in the Company's annual bonus program.
The Ideal Candidate:
We’re looking for a communications professional who writes well, works fast and has a knack for hockey stats. This person is as energized by game nights as they are dependable under tight deadlines, doing their best work in the fast-paced atmosphere of professional sports. The ideal candidate is comfortable with the detail work that makes a communications operations run and is eager to help shape how the team’s hockey stories get told.
Role Summary:
The Coordinator, Hockey Communications is the day-to-day execution engine behind how the Chicago Blackhawks communicate with our media and fanbase. From game previews highlighting key matchups that keep our fans informed to game notes that paint the statistical story for our media and broadcasters, this role will help produce the materials that fuel all hockey-related communications. This position also heavily supports the organization’s media servicing operation, including overseeing press box logistics and assisting in credentialing, while often serving as the initial point of contact for members of the media.
This role sits close to the team, close to the media and close to our internal content team. You will work practices, game nights, and press availabilities, and will develop the writing skills and media instincts that define a career in hockey communications. The position is also heavily rooted in statistical research and will be relied upon to highlight unique hockey moments and ensure accurate hockey storytelling across the business in all internal and public-facing messaging.
