Position Summary:
The Minnesota Twins Baseball Club is accepting applications for a Full-Time Certified Athletic Trainer for the Minor League System. This entry-level position is for our Dominican Academy, Dominican Summer League, in Boca Chica, DR. Full benefit plan will be provided along with CEU opportunities. Responsibilities include covering season, camps and activities in Boca Chica, DR. Contract starts November 1st and ends October 31st.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prevention and care of injuries for our athletes.
  • Coordinating and facilitating physician appointments, proper medical record keeping with EMR system, reporting procedures and various administrative duties as assigned.
  • Daily interaction with High-Performance staff, team Physician(s), in addition to staff/front office interaction, and player care responsibilities.
Requirement Experience and Education:
  • NATABOC Certified and in good standing with NATA.
  • Valid passport is required for travel outside of the United States and/or Visa. Housing and meals will be provided by the Minnesota Twins Baseball Club Dominican Republic Academy.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 
  • Energetic and hard-working individual.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with players, medical team, and baseball operations.
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours if needed. Work hours vary according to schedule.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Prior baseball experience.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
