Job description

Day to Day Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist building carpenters with building maintenance projects including but not limited to painting, patching, plumbing, carpentry, moving of furniture, etc.
  • Diagnose and repair building issues during evening concerts and events.
  • Assist in setup and breakdown of all events.  This includes but is not limited to moving/stacking tables, chairs.
  • Ability to recognize and understand how to build stages for shows.
  • Assists in keeping all storage areas and carpentry shops clean and orderly.
  • Identifies equipment that needs to be maintained and assists in developing a plan to carry out necessary repairs and upkeep.
  • Operates forklift for show load in/out upon request. 
  • Oversee casual labor when building is converting from event to event. 
  • Other duties as assigned.
     
Requirements
  • Forklift certified or willing to get certified 
  • Able to work nights/weekends/occasionally over 8 hours per shift
  • Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative with minimal supervision. 
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with employees 
  • Positive attitude and hard work ethic
  • Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others.

Qualifications
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. 
  • Extensive periods of walking, bending, and kneeling are necessary depending on the task that has been assigned.  
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
