Position Title: Youth & Community Engagement Intern
Department: Social Impact & Inclusion
Reports to: Manager, Youth Development
FLSA: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Program Period: October – End of 2026-27 Sacramento Kings Season
Job Summary: Join our team as a Youth & Community Engagement Intern, playing a vital role in our Social Responsibility department with a primary focus on youth basketball and community programs. You'll be responsible for coordinating and enhancing our youth basketball initiatives, including Courtside Class, Jr. Kings camps, clinics, and leagues. In addition to assisting with event logistics, you will collaborate with schools and community partners. This dynamic role also involves supporting donation requests and community events.
Key Responsibility Areas:
Research, schedule, plan, and assist in executing all youth basketball programs and events
Set up and break down youth basketball events
Efficiently manage youth basketball email correspondence
Support the preparation and distribution of Jr. Kings swag
Conduct research on best practices in youth sports
Maintain real-time inventory of youth basketball materials, equipment, and supplies
Monitor and track youth basketball Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for monthly and end-of-year impact reports
Be available to work nights and weekends

To qualify for Kings University internships, you must be:
Currently enrolled in college or have graduated within 12 months
Able to commute to the downtown Sacramento office
Able to work up to 25 hours per week during the summer season
Interns will be compensated $17.50 per hour and receive benefits such as California Paid Sick Leave, discounts on Sacramento Kings merchandise, and free parking.
