Nature of Work:
Create, edit and capture dynamic, high-paced video content for Denver Nuggets social media channels, in-arena presentation, broadcast partners and marketing initiatives. The role will focus on editing and post-production and will also capture video content at Denver Nuggets games and team appearances.
Collaborate with Mile High Studios and Game Presentation to develop and execute compelling video concepts from initial idea through final edit and delivery. Work with strategic direction from team content groups and in alignment with team PR protocols, brand standards and organizational guidelines.
The ideal candidate is a strong visual storyteller with excellent editing skills, a sharp eye for pacing, composition and design. Strong creativity, communication and organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects and quick-turn deadlines, and a willingness to work game nights, weekends and other non-traditional hours are required.
Examples of work performed:
- Edit and deliver timely, engaging and platform-specific video content for Denver Nuggets social media, digital, in-arena, broadcast and marketing initiatives.
- Take ownership of projects from concept and footage selection through editing, finishing and final delivery.
- Develop compelling edits with strong storytelling, pacing, sound design, graphics and visual treatments appropriate for the intended audience and platform.
- Capture video at games, player appearances, community events and other team activities as assigned, with an understanding of how footage will be used in the final edit.
- Develop layouts, treatments and storyboards to help communicate and execute video concepts.
- Work closely with internal partners across the organization, including Front Office, Team PR, Community Relations, Marketing, Sponsorships, Ticket Sales, Retail, Youth Basketball, Altitude Sports and others, to support content needs and organizational objectives.
- Understand and incorporate brand, team and marketing objectives into video content, contributing to the evolution and success of the overall business.
- Manage multiple projects and competing deadlines while maintaining a high level of creative quality and attention to detail.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and respond to quick-turn content needs, particularly around games and team appearances.
- Stay current on emerging video, editing and social media trends, technology, techniques and best practices.
- Organize and maintain video assets and project files to support an efficient post-production workflow.

Qualifications:
- Minimum
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in video production, shooting and editing, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- Preferred
- BA degree in Video Production or related field preferred.
- Experience in After Effects a plus
- Experience producing and capturing video intended for social media a plus
- Experience shooting and editing video for sports a plus
Competencies/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent video shooting and editing skills
- Well-versed in Adobe software including Premiere Pro and Photoshop
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Comprehensive knowledge of sports is preferred
- Flexibility of schedule/days and hours is essential
Compensation
- Base Salary/Hourly Range: $24.00 – $27.00 per hour
- Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
