We are seeking experienced and motivated Hype Crew members to join our team. In this role, you will support game day elements of Live Presentation for the Valley Suns, while playing a key role in broader department initiatives.

 

Your Role on the Team

  • Activate various promotions, including t-shirt tosses, fan giveaways, on-court contests, and other in-game timeouts. Assist with halftime acts and mascot skits as needed
  • Comfortable performing in front of large crowds while maintaining energy and enthusiasm throughout the event
  • Ability to actively engage fans of all ages in a friendly, professional, and approachable manner
  • Assist with timeout activities, hype signs, crowd prompts, and other fan-engagement moments
  • Perform at external or internal events such as viewing parties, fundraisers and any other non-game night events
  •  Assist with other game night elements as needed

 

Your Skills and Experience

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to take direction and work collaboratively with team members, performers, hosts, and event staff
  • Comfortable working in an active, high-energy environment that may require extended periods of standing and moving throughout the venue
  • Enthusiasm for live sports, entertainment, events, and fan engagement, with a desire to gain hands-on experience
  • Able to work odd hours including weekends, evenings, and some holidays
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two or more years of related experience in sporting events
    • Ability to transit throughout the arena for long periods of time
    • This position works mainly indoors, removed from extreme weather; exposure to weather is <5%
    • Active Work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
    • Ability to Read, Write & Speak in English
