About the Company
Fanatics Collectibles is a new company operating at the intersection of collectibles, culture, and technology. Backed by world-class investors, operators, and sports & entertainment partners, we are building the global leader in next-generation collectibles. As part of the broader Fanatics ecosystem, we leverage a digital sports platform that spans over 900 sports properties and engages more than 81 million fans. Together, we are reimagining every part of the collectibles experience for fans, partners, and creators.
Role Summary
This is a critical operational manager role responsible for the physical security of the company's vault operations — its vault and secure storage facilities housing significant concentrations of collectible trading card inventory. The Security Manager will set the standard for and manage vault security operations, ensuring that protocols, people, and technology work in concert to protect assets of extraordinary value.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
▸ Lead day-to-day security operations across designated high-security vault and secure storage sites.
▸ Partner with stakeholders to design, implement, and audit vault security protocols — including access control procedures, inventory verification, chain-of-custody controls, and dual-custody requirements specific to high-value collectible inventory.
▸ Manage and develop a team of on-site security officers.
▸ Conduct regular security audits, drills, and vulnerability assessments specific to vault environments.
▸ Respond to and manage security incidents, including internal investigations, theft events, and emergency situations.
▸ Partner with operations stakeholders to manage in-transit security for high-value shipments entering and leaving vault facilities, including coordination with armored carriers and logistics partners.
▸ Support the integrity of online auction and sales platform operations by enforcing secure handling, authentication, and chain-of-custody protocols for items listed or fulfilled through digital channels.
▸ Maintain rigorous documentation, incident reporting, and compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.
▸ Collaborate with the Director of Physical Security Technology on surveillance and access control systems at vault sites.
▸ Partner with operations team on loss prevention strategies, including implementation of efficient best practices for inventory management, chain of custody, space utilization and capacity.
▸ Support compliance with insurance requirements and insurance claim processing.
▸ Interface with law enforcement, insurers, and external partners as required.
WHAT YOU BRING
▸ 10+ years in physical security operations, with at least 5 years managing high-security environments — vaults, secure storage, armored transport, or equivalent.
▸ Direct experience in collectibles, consumer goods, jewelry, precious metals, or high-value asset environments strongly preferred.
▸ Deep knowledge of vault security protocols, access control procedures, and chain-of-custody standards.
▸ Familiarity with security considerations for online marketplace or auction fulfillment operations is a meaningful advantage.
▸ Experience managing in-transit security for high-value cargo.
▸ Strong leadership and team development skills — able to instill discipline, accountability, and professionalism in an operational security team with finesse.
▸ Exceptional judgment under pressure — calm, decisive, and thorough in incident response.
▸ Certifications such as CPP, PSP, or relevant armored transport / vault operations credentials are a plus.
