JOB SUMMARY: The Digital Marketing Assistant is responsible for supporting day-to-day digital marketing operations, with a primary focus on maintaining timely, accurate, and engaging updates across the organization’s website and mobile app. This position will assist with game related coverage, content updates, promotional scheduling, digital asset coordination, basic reporting, and quality assurance to ensure fan-facing information is current, consistent, and aligned with organizational priorities and brand standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Manage day-to-day content updates for the organization’s website and mobile app, ensuring information is accurate, timely, and aligned with current priorities
  • Update and maintain digital content related to games, promotions, theme nights, events, ticketing initiatives, community programs, partner activations, team news, and other organizational needs
  • Review website and app content regularly for accuracy, functionality, formatting, broken links, outdated information, and consistency with brand standards
  • Coordinate with internal departments to gather, organize, and publish approved content in a timely manner
  • Assist with scheduling and publishing digital content to support marketing campaigns, promotional calendars, game day communications, and fan engagement initiatives
  • Support email marketing execution, including building, reviewing, testing, and deploying campaigns as assigned
  • Assist with digital asset coordination, including collecting creative materials, resizing or organizing assets as needed, and ensuring files are ready for website, app, email, and other digital placements
  • Track content requests, deadlines, approvals, and project updates to help ensure digital deliverables are completed accurately and on time
  • Provide basic performance reporting and assist with gathering digital metrics for website, app, email, and campaign performance as needed
  • Collaborate with marketing, communications, creative, ticket sales, corporate partnerships, foundation, game presentation, merchandising, business strategy and analytics, and other departments to support accurate and timely digital execution
  • Assist with quality assurance for digital campaigns, forms, landing pages, app placements, links, tags, and other fan-facing digital experiences
  • Monitor digital channels for needed updates, inconsistencies, or opportunities to improve the fan experience
  • Maintain organized records of content updates, campaign materials, approvals, and digital assets

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Entry-level experience or internship experience in digital marketing, website management, content management, sports, entertainment, live events, media, agency, or consumer brand marketing 
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to review digital content for accuracy, grammar, formatting, links, timing, and overall quality
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing metrics, website content management and analytics, email marketing platforms and performance,  app engagement reporting and content updates, and digital publishing tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong editing and proofreading abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple content requests, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively and professionally with cross-functional departments, vendors, and creative teams
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive business, partner, employee, or organizational information
  • Experience in MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, collegiate athletics, minor league sports, live entertainment, or similar event-related business environment and a knowledge of hockey preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as required, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and game days

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle objects and office tools, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is exposed to an office environment, with noise levels usually moderate.
