Sales and Hospitality Intern

The Frederick Keys Sales and Hospitality Intern is a part-time internship designed only for current university students who will be receiving college credit for participation in this internship. The Sales and Hospitality Intern will be gaining real-world experience with responsibilities within the organization. They will receive the opportunity to learn and observe how a professional sports organization operates and gain valuable skills in communication, fan experience, and sports ticket sales.

·       College sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate students working for academic credit in Sport Management, Business Management, or Sales. 

·       Thorough knowledge of the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

·       Ability to uphold company and Attain customer service standards

·       Individual must be energetic, enthusiastic, and a dedicated team player

·       Excellent interpersonal skills

·       Ability to work event nights, weekends, and holidays as required

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       Ability to pay attention to details

·       Assist in grass roots advertising and prospecting for group events

·       Gain knowledge and experience in servicing group and sponsorship clients

·       Gain experience in clear and friendly phone manners through answering phones and learning how to make outbound calls

·       Work Frederick Keys home games as directed by the Group Sales Manager

·       Spend time shadowing and learning from top-tier Group Sales Account Managers and Sponsorship Sales Account Manager as directed by the Group Sales Manager

·       Represent the organization, as needed, at outside community events and appearances

·       Work non-gameday Frederick Keys events held at Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium

·       Research and identify potential clients and groups for group events and sponsorship 

·       All other duties assigned by Senior Marketing and Gameday Manager, Group Sales Manager, and General Manager of the Keys

·       Assist with the set-up and take down of booked hospitality areas

·       Host and attend to group birthday parties 

·       Host and attend to group hospitality spaces including suites and picnics

·       Meet and engage with groups located in the seating bowl to ensure superior fan experience

·       Engage with fans and ensure top customer service at Nymeo Guest Services

·       Assist with the execution of paid on-field groups such as Anthem Buddies, National Anthems, color guard, and parades.
