Job description

We’re looking for a driven, detail-oriented entry-level Production Assistant to join our content team, with a focus on live sports production and control room operations. This role is ideal for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, team-first environment.

This role will assist the Manager of Content Studio with Game Night responsibilities, helping organize, deliver, and coordinate content for the control room while actively supporting the live production of HEAT games and arena events. You’ll also gain exposure to production tools like Tricaster, Dreamcatcher, and studio workflows.

Day-to-day responsibilities include work alongside producers, editors, and our interns to support logging, archiving, prepping shoots, recording broadcasts, and fulfilling content requests. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following are examples of the various functions required. The job requirements are not limited to the items on this list. 

Live Production / Control Room

  • Assist live production crews with in-arena shows, pregame and timeout content, and real-time storytelling
  • Shadow and support live event operators (e.g., replay, switching, graphics) in control room environments
  • Gain experience or demonstrate interest in systems such as Tricaster, Dreamcatcher, and Ross XPression
  • Learn the basics of video signal flow, comms, and intercom coordination during live broadcasts
  • Support Content Studio team during HEAT home games and events at Kaseya Center

Content Studio Team Support

  • Record and log live HEAT home and away broadcasts (pregame, halftime, postgame, live streamed events) into the department’s digital archive
  • Log game melts, ENG/media clips in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assist with on-location shoots inside and outside the arena (set building, grip support)
  • Fulfill footage requests, including VNRs and archival needs
  • Maintain departmental SOPs and keep Music Cue Sheet and Arena On-Hold updated
  • Transfer historical footage to updated formats as needed
  • Export and send daily coverage (practice, shootarounds, postgame) to media distribution channels
  • Help onboard and train interns alongside the Manager, Content Studio
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production and studio operations
  • Must be proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro

  • Must have a solid understanding of basketball, including scoring, stats, and game flow.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during HEAT season
  • Highly organized, reliable, and excited to learn and grow in a team setting
