ABOUT THE NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

SUMMARY
Will serve as content producer for League site, posting stories, videos, photos etc. for breaking news, features and game stories.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
Will work with Managing Editor producer and other producers to keep League website not only current, but looking and reading the best it can with strong photo choices, widgets in story to cross promote content. A majority of this work is done on a deadline situation, so expediency, along with accuracy is crucial.  This position is temporary, part-time with night hours.  

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge Areas/Experience
Required
  • 3+ years within a leading technology, digital media and/or digital video company. 
  • Prior publishing and website experience. 
  • Success in managing a range of time sensitive projects, multiple partnerships and workstreams simultaneously. 
  • Strong knowledge of the NHL and passion for the sport of hockey. 
  • Experience using content management systems, html, css and javascript. 
Preferred
  • Expertise in search engine optimization a plus. 
  • Editing and writing skills a plus. 

 Education/Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree. 

Required Skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Outstanding abilities in Excel, Photoshop. 
  • Clear and proactive communicator internally and externally. 
  • Job will entail working nights and weekends. 
  • Make sound, evidence-based decisions on tight deadlines.

SALARY RANGE:
 $25/hour
 
Actual base pay for a successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to: experience/training, market demands, and geographic location.
