Job description

Day to Day Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist full time carpenters with building maintenance projects including but not limited to painting, patching, plumbing, carpentry, moving of furniture, etc.
  • Serve as on duty carpenter during evening concerts and events.
  • Assist in setup and breakdown of all events.  This includes but is not limited to moving/stacking tables, chairs.
  • Assists in keeping all storage areas and carpentry shop are kept clean and orderly.
  • Takes part in building walks with Sr. Operations Manager and Maintenance Foreman to identify and prioritize maintenance projects. 
  • Identifies equipment that needs to be maintained and assists in developing a plan to carry out necessary repairs and upkeep.
  • Operates forklift for show load in/out upon request. 
  • Oversees casual labor when hired to work in the theatre. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Forklift certification
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office and Outlook. 
  • Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative with minimal supervision. 
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with employees and others encountered through the course of employment. 
  • Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with other in both oral and written form.

  • Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others.

 Qualifications
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. 
  • Must be able to lift at least 35 pounds.
  • Extensive periods of walking, bending, and kneeling are necessary depending on the task that has been assigned.
