Organist - $36.00 - $40.00 per hour 

Position Summary: The Organist is responsible for playing the organ during all Minnesota Wild home games while collaborating with singers and event staff to ensure all musical requirements are seamlessly executed and game-day requirements are met.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Perform as the organist during all Minnesota Wild home games at Grand Casino Arena, delivering live music that enhances the game-day atmosphere and fan experience.
  • Play a wide variety of popular songs, crowd chants, and musical stingers to engage fans and support in-game entertainment.
  • Adapt musical selections in real time to complement on-ice action, promotional elements, and arena entertainment.
  • Collaborate with game presentation staff to ensure seamless execution of all musical components throughout each event.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, preparedness, and flexibility in a fast-paced live event environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Formal Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

 

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Professional level of musical talent from training and/or experience specifically in piano/keyboard.
  • Strong knowledge of the game of hockey and an understanding of traditional and contemporary hockey music, including crowd engagement, game situations, and in-game entertainment.
  • Experience performing live for large audiences in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt seamlessly during live events.

 

Personal Attributes:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to execute musical cues with precision and timing.
  • Proven ability to remain composed, make quick decisions, and perform effectively under pressure in a live event setting.

Work Conditions:

  • Able to work all Minnesota Wild home games.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc. 
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
