THE POSITION 

The Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation is currently looking for an energetic and outgoing individual to fill the role of Music Coordinator for the Calgary Wranglers at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Reporting to the Manager, Game Presentation; The Music Coordinator is responsible for developing, playing, and monitoring the music tracks and playlists that correspond to in-game activities such as promotions, scoreboard graphics, and various other activities throughout the game. 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Playing and coordinating all music during every Calgary Wranglers home pre-season, regular season, and playoff games
  • Collaborate with the Game Director to develop and select music tracks and playlists.
  • Coordinate appropriate music with promotions, scoreboard graphics, and various situations throughout the game.
  • Stay up to date with popular music tracks and monitor music trends.
  • Regulate volume level and sound quality during the games.
  • Active participation in the Safety Program and follow all safety rules.
  • All other duties as required.

     

    THE INDIVIDUAL 

    The ideal individual will have the following background: 

    • Experience doing live audio for live events is essential;
    • Familiarity with 7 Point Audio or equivalent music programs;
    • Experience in Audio Production;
    • Music Production studies is considered an asset;
    • Vast knowledge of music genres, bands, tracks, and trends;
    • Excellent attention to detail;
    • Ability to work well under pressure;
    • Schedule flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts.

     

    CERTIFICATIONS

    • High school diploma is considered an asset.

     

    This position will remain open until suitable candidates are found.
