Nature of Work:
The Marketing Coordinator in the Fan Marketing & Brand Strategy department supports the execution of integrated marketing campaigns designed to drive fan acquisition, engagement, and revenue for the Colorado Avalanche. Reporting to the Lifecycle Marketing Manager, this role plays a critical part in campaign coordination, database growth initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration. The coordinator ensures seamless execution of marketing programs, supports data-driven decision-making, and helps maintain brand consistency across all channels.
Examples of Work Performed:
Fan Acquisition & Database Support
- Coordinates and deploys email marketing campaigns (eblasts), including formatting, scheduling, and segmenting
- Supports database growth by helping build, segment, and maintain email lists in collaboration with the Business Intelligence team
- Tracks campaign performance and compiles reports to identify trends and opportunities for optimization
- Assists in the execution of fan acquisition campaigns, including enter-to-wins, form sign-ups, and more
Advertising & Promotions
- Writes copy for in-game, TV, and radio reads weekly and handles the organization and insertion of the spots & drops for each game broadcast
- Assists in the creation of campaign recaps, including performance data and key insights
Collaboration
- Collaborate with Fan Marketing, Ticket Sales, Business Intelligence, CRM, Social Media, Creative Services, Corporate Partnerships, and KSE Media to ensure campaigns align with business goals
- Help manage timelines, deliverables, and internal communications to ensure alignment across departments and campaigns are delivered timely and accurately
- Assist the Ticket Sales team with execution of promotional offers, ticket initiatives, and game day marketing efforts
Creative & Brand Support
- Coordinates creative asset requests with the Creative Services team, ensuring assets are delivered on time and meet campaign needs
- Reviews marketing materials for brand consistency and adherence to Avalanche brand guidelines
- Assists with influencer marketing programs, including outreach, coordination, and tracking deliverables
Miscellaneous
- Required to work nights and/or weekends in support of Avalanche games, tentpole events, and marketing initiatives as scheduled

Qualifications:
- Minimum
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Advertising, Digital media, Communications, or similar field.
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards
- Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- Preferred
- Experience as a Marketing/Promotions Coordinator, Marketing Assistant, or Intern preferred
- Experience working in the sports and entertainment industry and/or third-party agency as a marketing coordinator or account manager

Compensation:
- Base hourly range $19.29- $27.00
