The Washington Spirit is hiring a Manager, Partnership Activation. You’ll report directly to the Director Partnership Activation and manage a high-level client portfolio by planning, executing, servicing, and day-to-day managing partnership activations. This role is an integral part of the team that will ensure Washington Spirit partners receive the best-in-class service and maintain revenue for the club. The ideal candidate has a strong desire to go above and beyond for clients who can showcase the values of Washington Spirit, and experience with high-level, cross-functional partnership activation.
The Manager, Partnership Activation will:
- Represent Washington Spirit as the main contact for assigned corporate partners
- Manage sponsorship activations for assigned clients by working with other departments to ensure a high level of execution, best-in-class customer service and fulfillment of corporate partner deliverables that may include but not limited to, IP rights, game day and in-market activations, television, radio, digital, social, print media, tickets, hospitality, and special events
- Deliver expert client relationship management skills and team leadership skills
- Plan and execute events, promotions, experiences, and community activities on behalf of partners and Washington Spirit
- Develop and implement new and creative marketing and activation strategies based on partners’ needs and potential new revenue and upsell opportunities
- Work with internal departments to compile and share research, data, success rate and market trends with partners
- Consistently evaluate current partner goals and objectives and recommend additional assets for their consideration
- Build and support relationships for select client portfolio with all agencies, day-to-day contacts and account executives on behalf of Washington Spirit
- Create and present end of season partnership recaps
- Attend all future home games and special events to manage assigned partner activations
- Stay up to date with market trends and provide recommendations to department and applicable clients to ensure Washington Spirit’s continued success and forward thinking
Our ideal candidate has:
- Minimum of 4+ years of high-level account management and/or partnership activation experience; sports sponsorship preferred
- Ability to establish strong relationships, effectively manage expectations and provide information with extraordinary courtesy and tact while safeguarding confidentiality
- Strong communication skills including written, verbal and interpersonal
- Ability to establish priorities and courses of action for handling multiple tasks and projects
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes while maintaining high level attention to detail
- Expert time management skills

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of sponsorship measurement tools and processes
- Ability and desire to work in fast-paced environment
- Be a team player and contribute to the general success of Washington Spirit across all facets, including positively representing Washington Spirit among all corporate and community partners
- NWSL and professional soccer knowledge preferred
- Must be available to work all Washington Spirit home matches and partner events.

Compensation:
- Washington Spirit offers a competitive compensation package, medical, dental, vision, disability insurance, life insurance and 401k retirement plan.
- The annual salary for this role ranges from $65,000 - $75,000, with opportunity for bonuses.
Location:
This role is primarily based at our Falls Church, VA office, with occasional work in Washington, D.C. Our front office team follows a hybrid arrangement, requiring presence in the office 4 days a week.
