JOB SUMMARY: The Manager, Corporate Partnerships is responsible for the day-to-day management, fulfillment, execution, and activation of corporate partnership accounts under the supervision of a Senior Director, Corporate Partnerships, and/or department leadership. The Manager serves as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned partners and is accountable for delivering all contracted assets accurately and on time, without missed obligations. This role develops activation plans, coordinates execution across the Dallas Stars organization, and provides recommendations that help partners maximize return on investment using the full value of their contracted assets. The Manager will own and lead renewal conversations for an assigned book of business and identify upsell opportunities across their portfolio.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage the day-to-day relationship, execution, and fulfillment of assigned corporate partnership accounts
- Manage assigned partners, building trusted relationships and maintaining consistent, proactive communication throughout the partnership term
- Identify incremental upsell opportunities for accounts and develop recommendations, pricing, proposals, and growth strategies
- Lead renewal planning and conversations for assigned accounts
- Review agreements and create detailed activation plans, project timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables
- Recommend ways for partners to maximize return on investment
- Align internal stakeholders and confirm responsibilities to execute partner programs successfully and ensure assets are delivered accurately and on time
- Manage partner activation at home games, community events, promotional activities, and other organizational events
- Maintain accurate sponsorship records and account notes within CRM and departmental tracking systems
- Document fulfillment and partnership performance through photographs, video, proof-of-performance materials, partner updates, recaps, case studies, and other required reporting
- Monitor account health, partner objectives, utilization, feedback, and potential risks, and work with the Senior Director or department leadership to support retention strategies and resolve service or fulfillment challenges
- Support the onboarding of newly closed partners following the handoff from the Partnership Development team
- Monitor sponsorship and sports industry trends and share relevant activation ideas, integration opportunities, and best practices that can improve assigned partnerships
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 yeas of relevant experience in sports and entertainment partnership marketing, activation or retention
- Proven track record of onboarding and executing large scale partnerships and/or marketing campaigns
- Strong organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize goals
- Comfortable working with all personality types and management levels internally and externally
- Ability to complete projects within deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and KORE, Third-Party Valuation tools
- Punctual and professional
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work untraditional hours (nights/weekends/holidays)
