JOB SUMMARY: The Texas Rangers are looking for a General Maintenance Technician to join our team! This role is responsible for the preventative maintenance, daily upkeep, and general repairs necessary to maintain Ballpark Circle, Choctaw Stadium, and surrounding properties in a clean, professional, and well working condition. This individual will work in partnership with other internal departments, City of Arlington representatives, vendors, tenants, and contractors to coordinate logistics, maintenance requests, and projects taking place on property and surrounding areas. Duties include, but are not limited to, daily maintenance checks, general repairs, tool and supply management, periodic maintenance logs, and other assignments as needed. The General Maintenance Technician should be prepared to work occasional nights, weekends, holidays, and be on-call as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Daily maintenance checks of property equipment, doors, gates, windows, parking lots, and landscape.

  • Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance services as necessary and on a routine scheduled timeline.

  • Maintain and keep inventory records of tools, materials, and equipment.

  • Request quotes and order supplies as necessary.

  • Properly document and communicate preventative maintenance schedules, repairs, damages, and service records.

  • Maintain property maintenance certifications, permits, and logbooks necessary to meet all local, state, or government requirements.

  • Notifies supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken, and of quality problems or supplies needed.

  • All other duties as assigned .

PREFERRED QUALFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

  • Ability to work independently without supervision.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including but not limited to nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Strong organization skills with an emphasis on maintaining regular records of maintenance and repairs.

  • Knowledge of general construction repairs to include but not limited to the following:

    • Acoustical ceilings

    • Metal

    • Sheet rock

    • Paint

    • Wood

    • Stadium seating

    • Concrete

    • Doors/locks

    • Overhead/coiling roll-up doors

  • Ability to use hand tools and trades type tools.

  • Lift training and/or certifications are preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Outdoors and office environment.

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and move with large bulk items.

  • Requires long periods of time on feet.

  • Ability to walk, sit, climb, crawl, kneel, squat, bend and extend arms and legs fully

  • Ability to use hands to manipulate and effectively use tools and controls.

  • Safe handling of, and exposure to, standard maintenance chemicals, paints, cleansers, and fumes.

  • No fear of heights.
