Fraud Analytics Intern 

Every fan deserves a fair game. Our Fraud Analytics team works to prevent people from trying to game the system, while making sure the vast majority of legitimate players never feel a thing. This paid internship in Atlanta works directly on real fraud questions with real data alongside our analysts and Fraud Operations.

What You'll Do

Our Fraud Analytics team focuses on identifying and preventing fraud trends, while maintaining a frictionless experience for our majority of good customers.

• Investigate Fraud Patterns: Analyze onboarding, promo, and payment activity to spot abuse, size the risk, and recommend fixes that reduce fraud loss without adding friction for good players.
• Measure What Works: Evaluate fraud controls using before/after comparisons, holdouts, and backtests, including the impact on legitimate users.
• Build a Single Source of Truth: Build dashboards and help maintain a lightweight fraud and payment metric dictionary, and triage data anomalies with Engineering so the numbers stay trustworthy.
• Support Stakeholders: Answer ad-hoc questions from Fraud Ops and Product with clear, reliable information and concise recommendations.

What You'll Bring

We’re looking for a sharp, driven student ready to contribute. You're a great fit if you have:

• Proven SQL Skills: You're comfortable with joins, window functions, and aggregations. Coursework and projects count.
• Analysis Tools: Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and stats basics like hypothesis testing. Python, R, or Tableau is a plus.
• A Project to Show Off: Something you can walk us through, ideally where you balanced competing goals or competing priorities. Class, work, club, and personal projects all count.
• Excellent Communication: You can explain complex concepts clearly to non-technical teammates and you're curious about how systems get abused. Plus, you have a passion for sports!

• Risk vs. Experience: How to make decisions that reduce fraud loss while protecting the vast majority of legitimate players.
• Fraud in Today's World: How payment fraud, identity fraud, bonus abuse, and multi-accounting work in an online transactional environment.
• Meaningful Metrics: How to design metrics that are actually useful and keep them accurate over time.
• Industry Dynamics: How the Daily Fantasy landscape, including regulations, shapes fraud and customer experience strategies.

What we are looking for

• Student Profile: This internship is for rising juniors, seniors, Master's students, or recent graduates, within 1 semester of graduation, who are authorized to work in the U.S.
• Majors: We’re open to a wide range of majors like Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, and Computer Science, but the most important thing is your passion for data and decision-making!

Where you’ll work:

Our interns work onsite at our West Midtown Atlanta location. 

Spring Program: January 25 - April 30, 2026
