Summary
The Events and Experience Intern will support the marketing department with a primary focus on fan engagement, fan events, and theme night/special game experiences. This position will assist in a wide range of activities related to the marketing and events operations of the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and execution of various fan engagement initiatives and special events throughout the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits 2026-27 season.
- Assist with event preparation including organizing supplies, maintaining inventory, and ensuring all materials are ready and available for activations and promotions.
- Assist in the execution of gameday marketing promotions and activations – including, but not limited to: fan giveaways, brand activations, promotional appearances, gameday events and vendor relations.
- Assist the Marketing department in executing campaigns and promotional plans
- Assist the Fan Development Manager during focus groups to collect fan insights.
- Promote a positive fan experience and work as part of a creative team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications for the Position:
- Pursing or have a degree in Marketing, Event Management, Sport Management or a related field.
- Availability to work weeknights, weekends, gamedays and holidays as needed.
- Must possess strong communication skills, an outgoing and positive attitude and enjoy interaction with fans.
- Other requirements include the ability to work independently and as part of a team, work effectively under pressure and be able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as they are presented.

Compensation & Hours
This role pays $16.00 an hour. This is a part-time role and must have the flexibility to work extended hours, evenings, weekends and holidays. This is a temporary position for the 2026-2027 season.
Work Environment & Physical Demands.
This internship operates in both an office setting and in a live events setting. Live event coverage does consist of being around loud stadium noises and crowds.
Candidate must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving boxes up to 20 pounds.
