Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the Director will be responsible for driving the strategic growth of partnerships by identifying new business opportunities, developing key relationships with potential customers, and entering into agreements with new strategic partners.
The person will play a key role in growing our partner network s by attracting and converting new strategic partnerships in conjunction with the existing team.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 0; Actively generate new business opportunities to meet and exceed annual sponsorship revenue targets.
Develop, manage and maintain a portfolio of qualified prospects through a structured and sustained prospecting approach.
Identify and target new partner categories and revenue streams for the Club.
Solicit and meet with high-level decision-makers to present opportunities to leave nariat of CF Montreal.
Develop acquisition strategies and sales plans to convert prospects into partners.
Understand the market and customer needs, prepare and present impactful business proposals that meet the business objectives of potential customers.
Conduct the entire sales process, including prospecting, qualification, executive presentations, negotiations ations and the conclusion of agreements.
Maintain a high level of business activity in terms of calls, meetings, presentations and business development approaches.
Develop a strong network of influence within the local, national and international business community.
Collaborate with internal teams to maximize the value of business proposals and ensure the feasibility of assets sold.
Ensure rigorous management of the sales pipeline, revenue forecasts and CRM activities.
Consistently monitor market trends, sports sponsorships and emerging opportunities across MLS and the sports industry.
Represent CF Montréal at business events, networking activities and corporate functions to develop new business opportunities.
Produce regular reports s on the evolution of the pipeline, the concluded sales and the projected revenues.
Actively participate in the development and optimization of the Club's commercial strategy.

Qualifications requises
QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY COMPETENCIES

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or another relevant field; a master’s degree is considered an asset.
Additional training in business management or sales would be a significant asset.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in prospecting, partnership sales, or business development roles, preferably within the sports, entertainment, or events industries.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret market trends to make strategic business decisions.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including clients, senior leadership, and external partners.
In-depth knowledge of the sports industry and market trends is essential.
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment and work independently.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and database management systems.
Fluency in both French and English, spoken and written. The incumbent will be required to establish business relationships both within and outside Quebec and interact regularly with Major League Soccer (MLS), which is based in the United States.
