Summary
The Director, Business Strategy & Analytics will report to the Vice President, Business Strategy & Analytics, and will serve as a strategic leader in utilizing data and analytics to inform business strategy and drive revenue growth.  This role requires a strong technical background to lead a team responsible for data analysis, visualization, modeling, research and CRM. A consulting mindset is also key as this leader will serve as a trusted business partner across departments such as finance, ticketing, marketing, corporate partnerships, and more. This role will lead our efforts to proactively address stakeholder needs with data-informed solutions. 

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Build & maintain automated predictive models for lead scoring, member retention, and revenue forecasting
  • Analyze ticketing data to optimize revenue strategy via manifest design, pricing, & sales strategies
  • Build & maintain customer segmentation and event propensity models 
  • Lead departmental data visualization strategy across web and mobile platforms
  • Lead departmental CRM strategy across web and mobile platforms
  • Leverage fan data to proactively identify opportunities to enhance fan experience 
  • Analyze Rays.TV performance across channels to support content & revenue strategy optimization
  • Develop robust dashboards to support in-depth retail & concessions data analysis to develop revenue optimization strategy
  • Support cross-departmental ad-hoc requests for data analysis 
  • Lead fan, customer, partnership, and market research initiatives, including survey development, execution, analysis, and reporting to support strategic decision-making and business growth
  • Oversee, develop, and mentor a team of analysts to build a culture of innovation and improvement
  • Maintain key relationships with vendors, MLB, and other industry peers to ensure best practices
  • Work closely with key stakeholders across departments to proactively identify opportunities for strategic, data-driven solutions
 
Minimum Qualifications for the Position:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, analytics, computer science, economics, or a related technical field
  • Demonstrated success in leading a Strategy & Analytics team in sports/live entertainment
  • Advanced proficiency in written and visual communication, with the ability to clearly communicate complex ideas and information to diverse audiences across the organization
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL (Snowflake preferred)
  •  Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as R or Python
  • Experience with Tickets.com/ProVenue is a plus
