The Safety & Security Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the Nashville Soccer Club (NSC) Security Department, working closely with security contractors, event day staff, and internal stakeholders. This role assists with scheduling, credentialing, incident documentation, and the daily administration of physical security systems used throughout the stadium. The Coordinator plays a key role in gameday and non-event security operations, and helps maintain a safe environment for players, staff, fans, and guests. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across departments.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support the daily operations of the stadium security department, including scheduling, staffing coverage, and shift logistics
- Assist with onboarding, training coordination, and record-keeping for security staff and contractors
- Maintain accurate, organized associate files and department documentation, including electronic recordkeeping
- Serve as a day-to-day user of security software systems, including access control, visitor management, and CCTV platforms
- Assist with monitoring and administering the electronic/hard key access management program
- Support the operation and monitoring of CCTV systems and other security technologies used at the stadium
- Help implement security policies, procedures, and post orders, and communicate updates to staff
- Provide operational support during events, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for visitors, fans, and employees
- Assist in maintaining fire safety, emergency preparedness, and life safety procedures and documentation
- Track and maintain licensing records for security personnel and the organization
- Log, track, and help manage incident reports through the department's electronic reporting systems
- Support facility security, access control, key control, and radio communication systems
- Assist with quality assurance checks on policies, procedures, and technologies used by the department
- Assist with tracking department inventory, assets, and equipment
- Deliver excellent customer service and represent the department professionally with staff, guests, and partners
- Demonstrate reliability, initiative, and sound judgment; support and reinforce team morale
- Remain receptive to feedback and coaching, and contribute ideas to improve department processes
Qualifications Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Security, Law Enforcement, Military, or the Sports & Entertainment industry preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Familiarity with security software such as 24/7 Software or ISS 24/7, Visitor Management Systems, Avigilon Control Center, Genetec VMS (or like systems) preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and task management
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform well under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and on-call as required
- Working knowledge of CCTV, fire alarm systems, computerized access control systems, and wireless radio communication preferred
