THE POSITION 
The Concessions Cook is responsible for the preparation and cooking of all concession stand products including following menus, abiding by policies and procedures related to food management, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Follow planned menus and approved recipes;
• Prepare products maintaining standards of quality, proportioning, and presentation;
• Control and minimize food waste;
• Report low quality product and spoilage to supervisor;
• Keep work area, tools, and equipment clean and orderly;
• Report potential safety hazards;
• Perform cleaning duties as directed;
• Follow food safe guidelines while preparing and cooking food products;
• Assist with training of new staff during shift;
• All other duties as assigned.

THE INDIVIDUAL 
The ideal candidate will have the following background:
• Experience in a similar role or environment is required;
• Possesses strong customer service and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to take initiative;
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment;
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with evening and weekend shifts.

CERTIFICATIONS
• Food Safe Certified is required
• High school diploma is considered an asset.

Please note that this position is based on the event schedule in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays. Shift lengths vary and require flexible working hours.
