Austin FC joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the League’s 27th club in January 2019.  Austin FC officially began competing in MLS in April 2021, and in the 2025 season qualified for the MLS Cup Playoffs while also reaching and hosting the final of the U.S. Open Cup. Austin FC plays its home matches at Q2 Stadium, a 100% privately financed, state-of-the-art stadium which earned certification as a zero-waste venue in 2024. Austin FC sold out all 88 MLS home matches it played at Q2 Stadium during its first five season in the league, including three home MLS Cup Playoff matches. 

Austin FC is actively seeking a driven and motivated Account Executive in Group Sales who will focus on driving group ticket revenue by prospecting, cultivating, and closing new business with schools, corporations, non-profits, community organizations, youth groups, and other large-scale audiences.  In this role, you will focus on building long-term client relationships while delivering customized group experiences, meeting sales goals, and creating memorable match day experiences that increase attendance and fan engagement.  While this position will focus on group sales initiatives, a successful Account Executive will be able to sell other ticketing products including Legends, Verde and Listos Memberships, single match premium hospitality and single match tickets.

This position will be based in Austin, TX and the role will be in-person at Austin FC’s business office.

You Will:
·        Generate new group ticket business through outbound prospecting, cold calling, email outreach, networking, referrals, and community engagement; and
·        Sell group ticket packages to corporations, schools, youth sports organizations, nonprofits, community groups, and other organizations; and
·        Build and manage a strong sales pipeline while guiding prospects through the sales process from initial contact to closing; and
·        Develop relationships with group leaders and organizational decision makers and executives to understand their needs and create customized ticket solutions; and
·        Create and coordinate unique group experiences, including special events, hospitality opportunities, group recognition, and promotional elements; and
·        Manage group accounts from initial sale through game day, partnering with internal departments to ensure a seamless customer experience; and
·        Develop group buyers into long term Austin FC clients by driving repeat business, increasing group size, generating referrals, and identifying opportunities across membership, premium hospitality and other ticket products; and 
·       Develop and own specific group sales verticals and prospecting strategics, identifying new audiences, organizations, occasions and opportunities to drive incremental attendance and revenue; and 
·        Build repeatable group programs and theme night opportunities that create compelling reasons for organizations and communities to attend Austin FC matches; and
·        Support team initiatives by selling other ticketing inventory such as Legends, Verde and Listos Memberships, single match premium hospitality and single match tickets.

You Have:
·        Bachelor’s Degree required
·        Prior sports and entertainment industry experience a plus, but not required
·        A solid track record in consultive, solution-oriented selling
·        Demonstrated sales experience with a proven record of consistently meeting or exceeding goals and strategic objectives
·        Comfortability and confidence in making outbound calls, attending industry events, and initiating conversations with decision makers
·        High proficiency in relationship building, relationship management and networking skills
·        Evidence of being a strategic, creative thinker with the ability to develop and implement processes and plans
·        A commitment to diversity and inclusion both internally and externally 
·        Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively using a variety of media with diverse audiences
·        English language proficiency is essential and Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus. Additional languages – even better
·        An outstanding work ethic and attention to detail
·        Proficiency in Microsoft applications and CRM systems. Proficiency in Salesforce/Microsoft Dynamics a plus
