Job Summary
The Arkansas Travelers are seeking a motivated Ticket Sales Intern to gain hands-on experience in professional sports sales, customer service, and game-day operations. This position will work closely with the ticket sales team and have opportunities to develop skills in prospecting, group sales, ticketing, and fan engagement.
Responsibilities
- Prospect for new ticket buyers through phone calls, LinkedIn, Google Maps, online research, and other creative resources.
- Assist the ticket sales team with group sales, lead generation, follow-up, and customer communication.
- Help process payments and organize tickets, wristbands, invoices, agreements, and other group materials.
- Assist with box office operations, including ticket sales, answering phones, and helping fans with mobile tickets and ticket-related questions.
- Prepare the box office and assist with game-day ticket operations.
- Provide excellent customer service and build positive relationships with fans and clients.
- Assist with special events and other projects as assigned.
- Work collaboratively with full-time and part-time staff across the organization.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outgoing, professional, and comfortable making phone calls.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
- Previous sales, customer service, sports, or event experience is a plus, but not required.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays during the baseball season.
- Ability to work approximately 40 hours during game weeks.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, including working outdoors in hot and humid conditions.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- College student or recent college graduate preferred.
