Summary:

The Senior DevOps Engineer will design, secure, and maintain cloud infrastructure that enables Software, AI, and Data teams across the organization to develop and operate efficiently. This role focuses on architecting flexible, secure cloud development environments tailored to meet the needs of diverse technical teams. This role creates a secure, reliable, and highly automated platform that empowers application, data, and analytics engineers to independently develop and deploy solutions quickly.

Responsibilities: 

  • Design, build, and operate secure, scalable AWS and other cloud infrastructures.
  • Administrate and manage GitHub and CI/CD pipelines across various business units
  • Manage infrastructure through code, primarily using Terraform and other AWS-native IaC tools where appropriate
  • Monitor and remediate code drift across various development environments.
  • Establish and implement cybersecurity and CVE best practices across software development environments and cloud infrastructures
  • Enhance system availability, resiliency, scalability, backup, and disaster recovery capabilities
  • Build and maintain the infrastructure, test frameworks, deployment controls, security guardrails, and monitoring capabilities needed to safely deploy AI-assisted software to production
  • Design and implement AI-enabled development processes that enforce source control, security, code review, approval workflows, and production access standards
  • Monitor AWS resource utilization and costs to identify and implement optimization opportunities
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to ensure project success

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in software development, computer science, engineering, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in AWS DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or cloud-based software development.
  • Strong understanding of AWS networking, VPC’s, IAM, security, and production operations.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience architecting, deploying, and administering AWS Control Tower in multi-account environments.
  • Expertise in org-wide logging to securely aggregate, retain, monitor, and forward audit logs across multiple AWS accounts into centralized SIEM platforms, while enforcing least-privilege.
  • Experience with Docker, containerized workloads, ECS, and Airflow.
  • Automation and scripting experience using Python, Bash, CloudShell, or similar technologies.
  • Strong Git and modern software development workflow experience.
  • Experience evaluating compliance with NIST CSF 2.0, MITRE ATT&CK Framework, and other Security standards.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex technical and organizational issues.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evening, weekends, and holidays as needed.

The expected range of annual salary/hourly rate and potential commission, if applicable, is included below. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this/these range(s) will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market and industry considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure, performance, and standing with the company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.

Annual Salary Range: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00
