Software Developer - Go or PHP

The role: 

Working as a part of the AudioVisual Tribe, you will be responsible for applications together with the team members in other locations (Poland, Austria, Slovakia, Norway). 

Most of our daily work involves technologies: 
PHP (Symfony), Go, React, TypeScript, MySQL (Aurora), Redis (ElastiCache), RabbitMQ (AmazonMQ), gRPC, REST API, GraphQL, k8s, Helm, AWS, Docker, Gitlab CI/CD, Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, NewRelic, SonarQube, Mend and more...  
We follow best practices around quality, including writing tests and reviewing each other’s code.  

Working in Scrum, we manage our tasks in Jira and keep detailed documentation in Confluence. 

You will help develop and maintain services used by both internal users and external clients. With high traffic and demanding performance requirements, your code will need to be efficient, reliable, clean and maintainable. 

ABOUT YOU:

• Backend development experience with PHP or Go (2+ years)  

• Knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns

• understanding of microservices, and distributed systems, and APIs (REST, gRPC, GraphQL) 

• Hands-on experience with SQL, NoSQL, and queue systems 

• Understanding of system monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, New Relic) 

• Practice TDD and pair programming 

• Familiar with GitLab CI/CD workflows 

Nice to have:

• Experience with containerization (k8s, Docker, AWS) 

• Experience in designing and working on highly scalable systems.  

• Experience with JavaScript and React is a plus, but not required

Technical Interview - An in-depth discussion on your submitted coding task, including a review of your thought process, live coding exercises, and a system design discussion tailored to the level of the role.

Cultural Fit Interview - A conversation with Senior Management to assess your ability to work in a matrix organization and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the business.
