Position Summary/Objective: The primary focus of this position is to develop and nurture client relationships with the focus on renewing and growing U.S. Bank Backcourt Club memberships for the Minnesota Timberwolves & Lynx. The role will specialize in the operations management of the U.S. Bank Backcourt Club.

Essential Functions

  • Provide an exceptional level of customer service while educating and implementing member program activation for all assigned members and premium spaces.
  • Responsible for directly contributing to overall department revenue goals through premium client renewals and upsell opportunities.
  • Conduct professional meetings with current and potential clients along with attending charity and networking events.
  • Act as liaison between Timberwolves premium team and arena building partners to collaborate on the planning and execution of premium hospitality initiatives.
  • Direct Timberwolves game day-to-day operations of the U.S. Bank Backcourt Club including managing game night staff, client experience, and ensure Timberwolves service standards are instituted.
  • Participate in the Timberwolves and Lynx on-going training programs.
  • Understands and uses various tools within the organization such as CRM and Enterprise to follow all office and company standard operating procedures.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to establish effective client and interdepartmental relationships, manage multiple client contacts and projects, and drive business.
  • Able to interface with colleagues, senior executives, and clients effectively and personably, recognizing the need to adjust communication style accordingly to the audience.
  • Ability to tactfully handle and resolve issues and follow up accordingly.
  • Computer skills required: experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) is preferred
  • Knowledge of CRM and Enterprise is strongly preferred.
  • Able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work well on a team and independently.
  • Ability to manage specific processes and tasks in the department under supervision.

Experience: Minimum three (3) years of Sales and Service experience preferred. Experience working in the business side of a professional, minor league or college team is preferred.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Benefits & Compensation

The base salary range for this exempt role will be: $80,000 depending on experience. There are also opportunities for an annual corporate bonus. Total compensation & offer package will include the following:

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. Office hours are typically Monday-Friday from 8:30AM-5:30PM. In addition to working office hours staff may be required to work Timberwolves and Lynx home games, member events and meetings, and networking events. Work is generally sedentary in nature. The working environment is generally favorable. Work is generally performed within an office environment with standard office equipment available. This job also operates in a sports arena which includes bleachers/steps as well as moderate to high levels of noise.  

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange information with others both in person and over the telephone. The employee frequently is required to remain in a stationary position, as well as operate computers and other office equipment, such as a copy machine, printer and telephone. Staff will frequently ascend and descend bleachers/steps and traverse around the arena both on event days and non-event days. Staff may occasionally move boxes of merchandise weighing up to 30 pounds.

Travel

Position may require travel to external events.
