The Role.

We’re looking for a Regulatory Compliance Associate to help build and run the processes that support our regulated

business. You’ll work across compliance, legal, operations, product, and growth to turn regulatory requirements into

clear procedures and reliable day-to-day controls. The work spans monitoring and testing, policy administration,

employee training, record keeping, examination preparation, and review of external communications.

 

This is a hands-on role for someone who likes getting the details right and wants ownership as the compliance

function grows. The position is based in New York City and requires working in person from our NoHo office.

 

What You'll Own:

• Conduct compliance monitoring and testing, document findings, and track issues through remediation.
• Assist in maintaining policies, procedures, controls, and records, including version control and scheduled reviews.
• Coordinate employee compliance training, certifications, and attestations.
• Help maintain regulatory calendars, reporting support, evidence, and examination ready documentation.
• Support regulatory examinations, audits, and inquiries by gathering records and coordinating responses.
• Work with legal, product, operations, and growth to build practical controls for new products and workflows.
• Identify gaps and improve repeatable processes as Onyx scales.

What We're Looking For:

• 2–5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory operations, or risk at a regulated financial services company, trading platform, fintech, or related environment.
• Experience with compliance monitoring, policy administration, regulatory record keeping, examination support, or similar operational work.
• Familiarity with CFTC and NFA requirements or a strong interest in developing expertise in regulated derivatives and prediction markets.
• Clear writing skills and the ability to maintain accurate policies, procedures, and control documentation.
• Strong organization, judgment, and follow-through across recurring obligations and fast-moving projects.
• Ability to work closely with teams outside compliance and turn requirements into processes people can use.

Location and Schedule:

• This role is based in our NoHo, Manhattan office, with core in-office days Tuesday through Thursday.
• This position includes participation in an on-call rotation and may require support during major sporting events, market-moving news, or production incidents.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Onyx is unable to provide employment sponsorship for this position.

Compensation and Benefits:

• The anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000 depending on experience, impact, and scope, plus target bonus and equity.
