JOB DESCRIPTION:
The South Bend Cubs are the gold standard in Minor League Baseball and are looking for college students to learn from our wealth of experience. Our Production Internship will give you first-hand experience working in the fast-paced world of professional baseball. This position will report directly to the Director of Creative Services. Their primary responsibility is to actively engage our fans in-venue and through social media. Other responsibilities include assisting in the production of televised broadcasts and in-venue game production. This is a deadline driven position, and applicants need to be very detail oriented. This is a for credit internship with a monthly stipend.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assist with the planning and execution of team social media plan
- Assist with commercial, promotional, and player feature video shoots
- Learn all aspects of In-Venue and broadcast gameday production (camera operation, replay, video board, audio engineering / playback, directing)
- Work alongside Gameday Producer to execute in-venue script
- Schedule and program various venue digital signage and displays
- Cataloging and archiving game footage
- Assist sponsorship team with partnership activation elements
- Maintain & manage equipment room
- Assist with scheduling gameday staff
- Other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Currently enrolled or graduating from a college/university (degree in marketing preferred but not required)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with strong verbal and writing skills
- Must be self-motivated and ability to work independently at times
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude
- Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs. and be able to stand on your feet for 4-6 hours
- Able to work non-traditional hours, holidays, weekends – available for tarp pulls and other duties as assigned.
