Job description

About Polymarket

Polymarket is the world's fastest growing prediction market platform. We enable individuals to express views on real-world events by trading on outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs. Built as a peer-to-peer marketplace with no centralized \"house,\" Polymarket aggregates diverse opinions into transparent, market-based probabilities that reflect collective expectations about the future.

We're growing quickly, both in terms of volume ($115B traded to date) and adoption as an alternative news source. Our ambition is to become a ubiquitous beacon of truth on a global scale and we need your help adding fuel to the fire.

About the Role

Polymarket is looking for a Product Lead, Data Licensing to own the products we build around our market data and the program that brings them to institutional customers. Prediction markets produce something no other data source does: continuously updating, market-priced probabilities on real-world events. You’ll decide what of that we package and license, who it’s for, what it’s worth, and how it gets delivered. You’ll work in partnership with the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) product team to distribute these products to institutions, both within ICE’s existing market data customer base and across new audiences that prediction market data can serve.

This is a role for someone equally comfortable specifying a data feed and sitting across from a hedge fund explaining why they should pay for it. You'll be the first dedicated owner of this program and you'll run it end-to-end, including the roadmap, the packaging, the pricing, the partner relationship, and the client conversations.

What You'll Do

  • Own the data licensing product end-to-end, including what we package, who we sell it to, how it's priced, and why it's worth paying for

  • Serve as the primary product counterpart to ICE's team, running the joint roadmap and translating their distribution requirements into what we build

  • Define the data products themselves: real-time event probabilities, order book depth, trade prints, and historical archives, along with the tiers and entitlements that separate them

  • Work directly with institutional clients, including hedge funds, banks, proprietary trading firms, and media, to learn what they would actually consume and turn that into roadmap

  • Build the commercial narrative for why prediction market data is differentiated, and equip ICE's distribution teams to tell it

  • Own pricing and packaging, including how tiers are structured, what a license permits, and how deals are structured for different client types

  • Partner with data engineering on delivery: feed architecture, latency, uptime SLAs, and the reliability institutional clients expect

  • Work with legal and compliance on licensing terms, redistribution rights, and market data policy

  • Own the program's metrics, including licensing revenue, client adoption, and feed usage

  • Write end-to-end documentation that's clear and thorough enough that anyone selling, supporting, or building on the product understands what it is and what it isn't

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years in product management, market data, or a commercial role in financial data, with direct ownership of a product or program that generated revenue

  • Deep familiarity with how market data is packaged, licensed, and priced

  • Experience selling to or working with institutional clients such as hedge funds, banks, proprietary trading firms, or data vendors

  • Strong product instincts. You can write a spec, prioritize a roadmap, and say no to the request that doesn't make the cut

  • Comfortable being the commercial face of a product. Pricing conversations, client calls, and partner reviews are things you seek out rather than avoid

  • Enough technical fluency to work credibly with data engineers on feed design, latency, and delivery, and to read a schema without help

  • A self-starter who is comfortable being the only person on the program. You'd rather build the function than inherit one

  • Genuine interest in the business. You want to understand why market-priced probabilities are valuable and who they're valuable to

  • (Plus) Experience at an exchange, market data vendor, index provider, or financial data platform

  • (Plus) Experience launching a data product through a distribution or reseller partner

  • (Plus) Familiarity with prediction markets, crypto, or on-chain data

Benefits

  • Competitive salary & equity

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Full Health, Vision, & Dental coverage

  • 401k match

  • Hardware setup: new MacBook Pro, big display, & accessories
