The Production Assistant will be responsible for the operation of all event related production equipment in Lenovo Center.
Job Responsibilities
- Operation of house audio and lighting systems for hockey, basketball and other events
- Setup, tear down and operation of portable sound systems for auxiliary events
- Setup and tear down of sports scoring equipment
- Operation of audio & presentation equipment for non-ticketed events.
Examples of equipment used include:
- Digital and analog audio mixers.
- Conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures & controls.
- LCD Projectors, televisions, DVD players.
- Wired & wireless microphones, handheld & body-worn.
- Party-line communication systems/intercoms.
- Spotlights
Starting pay is $17.00 per hour
Qualifications
- Candidate must have prior experience as a sound engineer/AV technician in a live event setting.
- Associates degree in communications or extensive related fieldwork preferred.
- Must have ability to stay alert and observant of surroundings and be able to interact with public, peers and superiors in a positive and professional manner.
- Must be a self-starter and able to follow instructions and work without supervision for extended periods of time.
- Physical requirements include ability to stand for long periods of time, running cables in confined spaces, climb stairs, and lift objects up to 50 lbs.
- Must be available to work based on booked events; primarily nights and weekends, some holidays.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
