Position Overview
The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, are seeking a dependable, organized Visiting Clubhouse Manager. This position oversees visiting clubhouse and umpire accommodations at PNC Field, ensuring a welcoming, professional environment for visiting teams throughout each homestand.
Responsibilities
- Prepare lockers, clubhouse spaces, and umpire facilities before arrivals.
- Assist with unloading, organizing, and loading team equipment and luggage.
- Wash and distribute uniforms, towels, and other laundry.
- Coordinate meal deliveries and maintain food, beverage, and supply inventories.
- Stock visiting dugout and bullpen areas for games.
- Keep clubhouse spaces, restrooms, showers, and equipment areas clean.
- Communicate visiting team needs and facility concerns to the appropriate RailRiders staff.
- Assist with preseason setup, postseason breakdown, and special events as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous clubhouse, equipment, hospitality, or related experience preferred.
- Must be available for nearly all 75 home games, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Residence near PNC Field preferred, as the position may require being on call and reporting to the stadium on short notice.
- Flexibility to manage competing priorities, frequent interruptions, and last-minute requests in a demanding environment.
- Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on providing timely updates, asking questions, and keeping team personnel and RailRiders staff informed.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow through on multiple responsibilities.
- Professionalism and discretion when working with players, coaches, umpires, and team personnel.
- Ability to perform physical duties, including lifting equipment and prolonged standing, with reasonable accommodation.
