What you’ll be doing

 

The Special Event Sales Manager is responsible for driving the growth of Nissan Stadium’s special events business while ensuring exceptional experiences for clients and guests. This role blends relationship-driven hospitality with strategic revenue generation, positioning the venue as a premier destination for corporate, social, and private events.

 

You will own the full sales lifecycle – from identifying and cultivating new business to negotiating, contracting, and transitioning events to a service team – ensuring each experience reflects our commitment to excellence, creativity and value maximization. This is a highly visible, outward-facing role that requires strong market presence, proactive selling techniques, and close collaboration with stadium stakeholders.

  • Proactively identify, prospect, and secure new event business through outbound sales efforts, networking, referrals, and market engagement.
  • Build and manage a strong, healthy sales pipeline with discipline around follow‑up, forecasting, and conversion.
  • Meet or exceed individual and departmental revenue goals through consistent performance and creative selling.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through the sales process with professionalism, enthusiasm, and transparency.
  • Lead engaging site tours and client meetings that bring the event vision to life and support closing opportunities.
  • Create tailored proposals, presentations, and sales collateral that align client objectives with venue capabilities.
  • Partner closely with Event Services, Stadium Operations, Legal, Finance, and other internal teams to ensure seamless communication and execution of event agreements.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, team‑first culture that prioritizes shared goals, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Actively represent the organization at industry functions, networking events, and community engagements to maintain a strong market presence.
  • Stay current on market trends and competitive positioning to inform sales strategies and offerings.

 

 

 

Qualifications – What you’ll bring

 

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Hospitality, Sports Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in event sales, business development, hospitality sales, or venue‑based events.
  • Proven success generating new business and closing deals in a relationship‑driven sales environment.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing multiple opportunities simultaneously with strong attention to detail and follow‑through.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods of time; lift up to 50 lbs.
