Job Title: Manager, Marketing & Media Strategy

Department: Marketing

Job Reports To: Director, Marketing

Status: Exempt

 

Overview: The Marketing & Media Strategy Manager is responsible for the placement, implementation and evaluation of the various advertising/media buying plans for the Nashville Predators and Bridgestone Arena. The primary goal for the Marketing & Media Strategy Manager is to lead the planning, execution and placement of advertising to create more efficient and effective campaigns to drive revenue, extend the brand and minimize expenses.

 

 

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Oversee creation and execution of all organization marketing plans.
  • Oversee growth and development of marketing strategy coordinators.
  • Develop the annual advertising and media buying plan for the Nashville Predators hockey season.
  • Develop and execute the annual email marketing strategy for the Nashville Predators to drive ticket sales, fan engagement, merchandise revenue, and partner activations.
  • Manage the organization's SMS marketing strategy, including audience targeting, campaign execution, automation, and compliance to deliver timely, personalized fan communications.
  • Develop, execute, and optimize paid social advertising campaigns across multiple platforms to maximize audience reach, conversions, and return on advertising spend.
  • Develop and manage digital advertising campaigns across search, display, video, and programmatic channels to achieve marketing and revenue objectives.
  • Oversee the trafficking and distribution of television, print, radio, billboard, and other advertising assets in accordance with approved media plans.
  • Utilize research, analytics, and consumer insights to develop efficient and effective advertising and media buying strategies.
  • Implement new marketing technologies to enhance consumer communications and improve audience data collection and utilization.
  • Manage media schedules, invoices, settlement information, and payment processing.
  • Coordinate promotional deliverables, including tickets, meet-and-greets, and other assets, to support advertising and promotional campaigns.
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with media partners and vendors.
  • Assist in the negotiation, implementation, and evaluation of media and promotional partnerships.
  • Participate in strategic planning initiatives to support sales objectives and maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, providing creative ideas, leadership, and strategic guidance.
  • Serve as the primary editor for all Nashville Predators advertising creative to ensure brand consistency and messaging accuracy.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business Management required.
  • 2-3 years Marketing and Advertising or related experience.
  • Media Buying experience preferred.
  • Prior sports, live events and/or venue experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office & Microsoft Outlook.
  • Experience in various media buying related software.
  • Basic knowledge of Google, Meta, and media buying related social channels.
  • Ability to work both independently and in team-oriented environments.
  • Detail oriented w/ excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to make sound business decisions.
  • Creative and proactive problem solver.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • The selected candidate must be able to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, possess a suitable driving history and be insurable by our insurance carrier (without conditions).

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical activities include sitting, walking and standing for prolonged periods of time, as well as bending, squatting, climbing stairs, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, balancing and handling of materials.
  • Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, dust, and loud noise.
  • Lifting requirements – must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.
  • High finger dexterity.
  • Excellent speaking and listening skills, requiring the perception of speech.

 

Equipment Used:

  • General Office Equipment (e.g. PC, copier, scanner, facsimile machine, calculator).
