The Opportunity

As an iGaming Web Content Writer you will support the objectives of the web content team by researching and writing blog content on a variety of casino and iGaming topics. Recurring subjects may include, but are not limited to, the following: Slots, Table Games (blackjack, roulette, craps, baccarat, etc.), Live Dealer Games, Variety and Arcade Casino Games, Game guides and informational pieces, Game strategies and tips, Game roundups by theme and type, Game releases and news, and Operator information, such as casino bonuses and promotions Regardless of subject, high-quality content should be clear, informative, engaging, and optimized for organic search.

 

The iGaming Web Content Writer should deliver a variety of effective content and drive content diversity on the site.  The role is responsible for producing a steady volume of SEO-driven content that supports BetMGM’s organic search strategy and broader content goals. This includes writing and publishing a minimum of 20 in-depth blog articles per month across casino and iGaming topics, developing shorter articles that address targeted user search queries or support timely coverage of BetMGM and MGM Resorts casino events, creating keyword-focused page copy, and contributing to one-off digital content projects such as video scripts, interactive tools, and related content initiatives.

 

The iGaming Web Content Writer may also be asked to look for opportunities to collaborate with other stakeholders either inside or outside of the BetMGM company structure to advance the goals of the web content team and BetMGM as a whole. They may include the following:

 

• Developing strategic content initiatives with other members of the web content team, specifically around premium casino game launches
• Participate in strategic planning on how to amplify existing content and promote pillar company initiatives
• Fulfilling requests from teams inside or outside of digital marketing (CRM, partnerships, etc) for specific copy needs
• Cooperating with the social media team to leverage popular or trending content in dynamic spaces
• Partnering with the SEO Analyst to optimize new or existing blog articles and maximize their organic exposure
• Aligning with external partners like TMI on important content development projects
• Able to identify topics for casino DPR (digital PR) led activities.
• Must be able to stand or sit and operate computers and other technological devices for extended periods of time

 

Qualifications  

• Three years minimum experience in a professional role writing high-quality content within the gaming industry, specifically under the Casino or iGaming vertical, is required. Expertise in the US online casino space is preferred.
• Journalism, English, or another relevant field.
• Must be proficient in AP Stylebook.
• Minimum three years of experience publishing in WordPress.
• Beginner-to-intermediate SEO knowledge is preferred, including basic understanding of keyword research, optimization, and internal linking practices.
• Experience working in large organizations, coordinating, and liaising with multiple departments and stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively manage timelines and priority of projects over several internal teams.
• Experience presenting online and in person.
• Basic knowledge of Google Analytics preferred.
• Good communication, analytics, project management, writing, copywriting, article ideation, and organizational skills.
• Assist in operational tasks when needed, including data entry, sourcing photos, editing, and presentation decks.
• Excellent analytical, proactive, and communication skills with a data-driven mindset.
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and desire to continuously improve and develop professionally.
• Willingness to learn and/or familiarity with AI tools and platforms is a plus.
• Basic photo editing skills using tools like BeFunky and/or Photoshop are a plus.

 

Applicants must possess legal authorization to work for our company in the U.S. without the need for immigration sponsorship. At this time, this role is not eligible for immigration-related employment authorization sponsorship including H-1B, O-1, E-3, TN, OPT, etc.

 

Compensation

The pay range for this position is as follows:

61,800.00--82,300.00

 

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.  This position is also eligible for participation in a performance-based bonus plan.

  

Gaming Compliance & Licensing Requirements 

As an online gaming company, BetMGM is required to comply with state gaming regulations which includes licensing obligations.  Applicable employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency, although certain positions require licensing by multiple agencies.  Failure to become licensed or maintain licensure with each agency as required for the role may result in termination of employment.  Please note that the licensing process includes comprehensive background checks which may include a review of criminal records, financial history, and personal background verification.

In addition, candidates must comply with and support BetMGM's responsible gambling policies, procedures, and initiatives.
