Utah Mammoth Media Relations Game Night Internship

Arrival

• Interns should plan to arrive three and a half hours before puck drop (e.g., 3:30 arrival for a 7:00 puck drop) for each game unless notified otherwise. Exceptions can be made to accommodate class schedules or other important obligations.

Media Check-In

• Media entrance opens three hours before puck drop and closes five minutes after puck drop.
• Interns are responsible for writing/distributing single-game credentials to visiting media, opposing staff, and scouts as needed.
• Interns are also tasked with being the primary point of contact for any questions related to the seating chart and meal vouchers.

Warm-Ups & Pregame

• Interns are responsible for distributing projected lines to hockey ops staff, broadcasters, media, and scouts.

Intermissions

• Interns are responsible for distributing intermission stats to both coaching staffs, hockey ops staff, broadcasters, media and scouts.
• In-game notes are also distributed to media and broadcasters.

Postgame

• Interns will be assigned to one of the two locker rooms and tasked with recording and transcribing postgame interviews of players and/or head coaches.
• Once transcriptions have been compiled and formatted for distribution to media, interns are free to leave (typically around 10:30-11:00 depending on game flow).

Expectations: Interns will be paid $13/hour and are expected to attend the vast majority of Utah Mammoth home games, including preseason, regular season, and playoffs. Exceptions will be made for important scheduling conflicts (e.g., emergencies, weddings, family trips). Dress Code: Please note that the dress code for all interns is business professional. Men are expected to wear a suit and tie, while women should plan to wear blazers with slacks, skirts, dresses, etc.

Parking: For interns who need to drive to Delta Center, parking vouchers will be provided for one of the Gateway garages for each home game.

Dinner: Meals will be provided to all interns at each game in the form of concessions vouchers, which can be used to redeem up to $20 worth of food at Delta Center.
