Job description
Kalshi has defined a new category: prediction markets. Kalshi allows people to trade on the outcome of any events and turn any question about the future into a financial asset. Kalshi fought for years and legalized prediction markets in the US for the first time in history, is currently the fastest growing financial market in America, and has thousands of markets across politics, economics, financials, weather, tech, AI, culture and more.
We believe prediction markets have the potential to be the largest financial market because they turn anything into a financial position.
Our vision: well… build the largest financial market on the planet.
Our mission: bring more truth to the world through the power of markets.
Our culture is simple: we hire really talented people, work really hard, and enjoy the climb. We are looking for ambitious and exceptional people to join our (relatively small) team to help us build the next generation of financial markets.
As part of Kalshi’s Compliance team, you will help build and run the core compliance infrastructure that keeps Kalshi’s regulated exchange and clearinghouse operations regulator-ready as the business scales. You will own a broad set of day-to-day compliance processes spanning monitoring and testing, policy administration, employee training, recordkeeping, regulatory reporting, and review of marketing and partnership activity.
In the near term, you will help establish a more systematic compliance monitoring program, strengthen employee training and attestation processes, remediate documentation and controls gaps, and build repeatable workflows around partnership and affiliate marketing review. Over time, you will independently own Kalshi’s ongoing compliance operations and help maintain a rigorous governance cadence across the company’s policies, procedures, controls, and regulatory obligations.
This is a strong role for someone who enjoys detailed, high-ownership work and wants to build deep expertise in the regulatory framework governing exchanges and clearinghouses.
Own ongoing compliance monitoring and testing across Kalshi’s DCM and DCO regulatory obligations, documenting findings and driving remediation where necessary
Administer Kalshi’s compliance policies and procedures, including version control, periodic reviews, governance tracking, and documentation of updates
Build and manage employee compliance training, certification, and attestation processes across the company
Review marketing, partnership, affiliate, and other external-facing materials for compliance with applicable policies and regulatory requirements
Support audit trail reviews, transaction and regulatory reporting processes, recordkeeping obligations, and other requirements under the CFTC’s DCM and DCO regulatory frameworks
Administer compliance controls and evidence within Vanta and maintain clear, regulator-ready documentation
Partner with Legal, Product, Operations, Marketing, and other teams to translate regulatory requirements into practical controls and operating processes
Track compliance gaps and remediation workstreams and ensure issues are resolved accurately and on time
Support CFTC examinations, Rule Enforcement Reviews, internal audits, and other regulatory or compliance reviews
Help develop new trainings, controls, reports, and procedures as Kalshi’s products and regulatory obligations evolve
4–7 years of relevant compliance, regulatory operations, or risk experience, ideally within a regulated exchange, clearinghouse, financial institution, fintech, or consulting environment
Experience working with CFTC-regulated entities and familiarity with DCM and/or DCO Core Principles and related regulatory requirements strongly preferred
Experience with compliance monitoring and testing, policy and procedure administration, regulatory reporting, recordkeeping, or similar compliance operations
Strong writing skills and comfort drafting and maintaining policies, procedures, controls documentation, and compliance records
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage recurring processes, deadlines, attestations, and remediation workstreams
Comfortable working through high volumes of detail-oriented work without sacrificing accuracy or follow-through
Strong judgment and curiosity; willing to ask questions, investigate gaps, and develop a detailed understanding of how the business operates
Able to work effectively with business teams to translate regulatory requirements into practical processes, controls, and training
Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where processes are still being built and refined
Genuine interest in building a career in financial services compliance, particularly within the exchange, derivatives, or clearinghouse ecosystem
Salary Range: $100,000 to $150,000 annually plus equity and benefits.
This range reflects current market data for this role. Kalshi has minimal hierarchy and broad variance in experience levels within each title; if your compensation expectations exceed this range, we encourage you to reach out - we’re always happy to discuss.
Meritocracy is at our core, and we value people who take ownership and figure (usually hard) things out. We dream big. We love our craft deeply and are proud of what we put out in the world. Kalshians are Kalshi’s most important asset: we pick Kalshians carefully, so we trust them fully on day 1.
Kalshi is committed to creating a culture of inclusion and belonging, and we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
