TITLE: Manager, Brand Alliances Marketing

DEPARTMENT: Brand Alliances
REPORTS TO: Senior Director, Brand Alliance Marketing

FLSA: Full-Time; Salaried

WHAT SETS YOU APART

As Brand Alliance Marketing Manager, you will oversee partner accounts across all clubs, manage asset activation, develop strategic programs aligned with partner business objectives, identify upsell opportunities, and lead renewals. You will build strong relationships while continually enhancing the service and support provided by the Brand Alliances department.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver exceptional service and build strong relationships with partner contacts at all organizational levels.
  • Manage the delivery of all assets for assigned partner accounts, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Develop a deep understanding of each partner’s business and identify mutually beneficial opportunities to collaborate.
  • Advance organizational marketing objectives through partner activations, including ticket offers, partner inventory, retail programs, in-stadium promotions, special events, and community outreach.
  • Identify upsell opportunities and present strategic ideas that align with partner business objectives.
  • Lead the renewal process to strengthen and grow partner relationships, collaborating with the Senior Director and SVP of Brand Alliances on strategies that engage stakeholders across the organization.
  • Partner with Legal and Brand Alliances senior leadership to execute new agreements during the renewal process.
  • Manage budgets for assigned partner accounts to achieve financial and partner objectives, including timely invoice submission, quarterly expense updates, and preliminary budgets for future years.
  • Lead annual planning sessions for assigned Brand Alliance partner accounts, engaging the broader Orlando City and Orlando Pride team to develop strategies aligned with partner business objectives. Produce annual recaps and collaborate with Business Intelligence to generate insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate across Creative, Ticketing, Marketing, Social/Digital, IT, Community, and HR to coordinate and support partner programs.
  • Maintain accurate benchmarks, records, and inventory in Brand Alliances OneDrive, KORE CRM and ACTIVATE.
  • Document and track partnership performance promptly and accurately for recaps, including photos, screenshots, Trajektory and Blinkfire data, KORE reports, and other relevant third-party data.
  • Provide ongoing recommendations on asset and inventory management and availability.
  • Support the Brand Alliance Business Development team in creating innovative, sellable assets for prospects and existing partners. 
  • Submit partnership creative briefs and proofread collateral featuring corporate partner and Club logos to ensure accurate brand usage across print, digital, social, sponsor artwork, and other materials.
  • Coordinate media and creative traffic logistics with partners and media partners, including reviewing rundowns and inventory.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings and provide regular updates to leadership.
  • Coordinate approved ticket requests and distribution for corporate partners.
  • Negotiate competitive pricing and coordinate orders for giveaways, merchandise, and client gifts.
  • Support the planning and execution of departmental special events.
  • Work home games and support on-site partner activations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

At Orlando City SC, soccer and entertainment are more than a job—they are a way of life. Every role is as unique as the person who fills it. Successful candidates will also have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in sport management, business, marketing, or a related field.
  • At least three years of partnership marketing and activation experience, with demonstrated success in media, sports sponsorship, or entertainment. Sales experience is a plus.
  • Strategic thinker and effective communicator who thrives on meeting and exceeding partner objectives.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple accounts and balancing competing priorities.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with experience creating and delivering recap and sales presentations. 
  • Experience in the Florida market preferred but not required.
  • Supervisory experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced event environment.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours and in varied settings as part of a collaborative team.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SafeSport certification.


About Orlando City SC & Orlando Pride: 

 

In November 2013, Orlando City Soccer Club was awarded a Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise, becoming the league’s 21st franchise. The team began play in March 2015, with 62,510 fans packing the then-Orlando Citrus Bowl for the Club’s MLS debut.  

The Lions have reached the postseason in five-consecutive seasons (2020-24), qualified for the Concacaf Champions Cup (formerly Concacaf Champions League) in both 2023 and 2024, and reached their first final in 2020 during the MLS is Back Tournament. In 2022, Orlando City won its first championship of its MLS era, lifting the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup trophy, which also marked the first championship by any professional team in the City Beautiful. Prior to its time in MLS, Orlando City boasted a decorated history in the United Soccer League, winning the league’s championship in both the 2011 and 2013 seasons. 

In October 2015, the Orlando Pride was announced as the 10th team in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), bringing professional women’s soccer to the state of Florida for the first time. The team began play in April 2016, setting a then-league single-game attendance record in its first-ever home game, with 23,403 fans witnessing the Club’s first win.  

The Pride feature a star-studded roster of domestic and international talent and, in 2024, brought the first professional major league title to the city of Orlando, with the Club winning the NWSL Championship. The season saw the Pride complete the double, winning both the Championship and the NWSL Shield as the best team in the regular season, capping off a historic campaign that set numerous league records. Former Orlando City defender Seb Hines serves as the team’s head coach, not only the first Black head coach in the league, but also the first to win both the Championship and the NWSL Shield, and the 2024 NWSL Coach of the Year.

 

In 2017, both teams moved into its privately-owned, soccer-specific venue – Inter&Co Stadium – located in the heart of downtown Orlando.

 

In July 2021, the Club – which includes Orlando City SC, the Orlando Pride, Orlando City B (MLS NEXT Pro) and Inter&Co Stadium – was purchased by the Wilf Family, who also own the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League.
